Inventory
Keep the lot and the website honest with a single inventory source of truth.
Purpose
Inventory is the anchor object in FlashFender — leads, quotes, deals, embed, and feeds all reference the same VIN record.
Setup
- Enter Settings → Business before printing window labels with legal name.
- Connect Carfax when you attach reports per unit (Carfax).
- Configure Kijiji pack and AutoTrader feed export schedules (Integrations overview).
- Enable JSON-LD on embed for AI shoppers (Vehicle JSON-LD).
Daily workflow
- Intake — VIN decode, cost, acquisition source, known damage flags.
- Photos — upload; gallery order drives embed and marketplace pack.
- Price & status — Active when front-line ready; Sold when deal closes.
- Syndicate — export Kijiji pack or AT feed (manual upload — no auto-post).
- Compliance — disclosure notes before Active when damage flagged (Ontario).

Permissions
- Inventory manager — full CRUD, cost fields.
- Sales — read; limited edit on merchandising fields.
- Marketing — export packs; no cost view if role restricted.
Canadian notes
- MVDA / VSA disclosure — guards help but counsel remains yours.
- Measurement Canada — odometer statement accuracy is dealer responsibility.
- HST treatment on sale price is deal-level — inventory holds asking only.
Honesty
Inventory syndication paths are export / pack / feed — not live auto-post to Kijiji or AutoTrader.
