Payments

Take deposits and invoice payments without pointing customers at a spreadsheet.

What you can do

• Collect deposits on deals and payments on invoices through Stripe
• See payment status on deals and invoices in-app
• Stripe-hosted checkout keeps card details out of FlashFender

When configured

Payments activate when the operator has set the Stripe secrets:

• STRIPE_SECRET_KEY (server)
• NEXT_PUBLIC_STRIPE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY (client)
• STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET

Honesty

Without those secrets the desk shows an amber Payments not configured banner and no charge can be created — there is no fake “Paid.” Billing plans are still announced in-app; this is the real charge path, not a placeholder.
