During the trial you get the full product surface your desk would use day-to-day — inventory, CRM, deals, reports, compliance helpers, and AI Desk when configured.
Soft lock
After the trial window:

Paid unlock
Paid billing unlocks writes again and ships in-app.
New single-rooftop dealerships (Starter/Pro) are on the $50/mo new-dealership offer after the free 7-day trial. Group / multi-rooftop stays custom. Soft lock holds writes until paid unlock is available — no card is charged on signup today, and FlashFender does not promise an infinite free forever plan.

Nova / demo dealerships
Some environments include a protected demo dealership for evaluation. Do not treat demo floors as your production lot, and do not expect operators to invent inventory to “fill gaps.”
